Parcel App's answer to the problem of auto-detecting from so many carriers is alright actually. They give a short-list of carriers that might match. I actually like this better than PackageTrackr.com, which seems to pick one of them (always incorrectly for me) in the event of multiple possibilities.
I presume the developers get access to all the tracking numbers we use? (or can we add an option to allow this?) to let you work out the formats used for each.
The "Add Delivery" interface would need to change to let you enter the tracking ID first, so that the list of carriers can be shrunk to only those that could work.
