Upload data for sending or a feature to show when items haven't been delivered

Often my customers don't know they have missed a delivery as they haven't been properly notified by the courier. As I send out so many orders, I can't check each one daily but I do want to be notified when this happens. Two suggestions for helping with this-  enable upload of data to email so I can get someone to track this for me OR POSTED changes the colour of orders that haven't been delivered within a time frame that I specify separately?
