Add a placeholder for orders that haven't shipped yet
Sometimes companies take a while to ship things. So, it would be nice if we could add a placeholder item without the tracking info for outstanding orders. Then allow the tracking info to be entered when it finally ships.
This would be very useful for keeping track of orders that are both shipped and pending.

If you know the shipping company that will be used, you can add any old info as a parcel at the moment.
E.g.
Title: My Order - yet to be shipped
Tracking Number: 1234
Then you can edit the parcel with the proper tracking number once it has been shipped.
If this doesn't meet your requirements, can you let me know exactly how you see a placeholder function working?

Your suggestion only works if you do know the shipping company being used, and Posted doesn't allow you to change that info. I buy from Amazon the most and they use 3 different shipping companies in my case, and sometimes even a 4th local one. I'm not sure if the OP had the same thing in mind, but I'd like to enter something in Posted immediately after ordering and then update the shipping co. and tracking no. when I get the shipped notice.
